| How To Cut Down The List |
| So in the beginning you promised each other no more than 150, but then Mom had her list, Dad had his list and don't forget Grandma's friends from Bridge Club. Do you want to scream yet? Of course you do, maybe a little scream would be ok. Now you need to bring everyone down to reality. Here are some ideas and tips to reduce the wedding guests without making enemies or being in debt till you first Social Security check. Make sure each parent (bride and groom) has an even amount of guests they can invite. If you know that a friend or family member doesn't have a serious significant other, don't put "and guest" on the invitation. Cut out the co-workers, unless you hang out with them on the weekends. Drop the children, if they are under 18, cordially ask that they not be included. Don't start fights with Mom, Dad or Sis over a guest, compromise, it will work. Have the moms create an A list and a B list, then start working from there. Make the RSVP in plenty of time to arrange for the additional guests. If you simply can't afford this size wedding, consider changing the type of wedding to accommodate the guest list. |
